Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Behavioral Health Systems recognizes Suicide Prevention Awareness Month this September—a time to bring attention to a topic that’s often misunderstood, stigmatized and difficult to talk about. This month is about changing public perception, sharing hope and connecting individuals and families with the resources they need to navigate emotional pain and crisis.

Suicidal thoughts are more common than most people realize and often reflect deep emotional pain—not a desire for attention. They should be met with compassion, not judgment. Just like physical health, emotional struggles deserve care and open conversation.

If you or someone you love is experiencing emotional distress, you don’t have to face it alone. Behavioral Health Systems provides confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services for you and your household, including access to mental health professionals, crisis resources and support when it’s needed most.

This September, let’s help reduce stigma, spread awareness and remind each other that help is available—and hope is real.
