Collectively, we can #AccelerateAction for gender equality.
Join the movement for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 on March 8th and take action to #AccelerateAction.
The #AccelerateAction campaign aims to build a world where advancing gender equality is a shared commitment. By breaking down barriers and challenging biases, we can create environments where women are trusted, valued, and empowered to succeed.
According to the World Economic Forum, at the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158—about five generations—from now to achieve full gender parity.
The focus on #AccelerateAction highlights the need for swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased urgency and momentum in tackling systemic barriers and biases that women encounter, both personally and professionally.
Together, let’s #AccelerateAction for gender equality
One of the most effective ways to create gender equality is by identifying strategies that work and scaling them up.
#AccelerateAction is a global call to recognize and support the strategies, resources, and activities that positively impact women’s advancement. It’s about raising awareness and driving greater implementation of these efforts.
While there are still significant barriers to gender equality, with the right actions and support, we can continue making meaningful progress for women everywhere.
How can you help Accelerate Action?
Each of us can make a difference in our everyday lives by positively impacting the advancement of women. We can challenge stereotypes, call out discrimination, question biases, celebrate women’s achievements, and more. Sharing our knowledge and encouraging others is also key.
Across the globe, impactful organizations and groups are implementing effective strategies, resources, and initiatives that help #AccelerateAction in areas such as:
- Empowering women economically
